1. What is the idea behind “Dripp” coffee boutique?
Dripp is a boutique coffee bar. We strive to do a few things. First, we want to create an atmosphere that inspires creativity, thought, community, etc. We want to do that in several ways. One way is by providing the very best product imaginable for our customers. We use specialty coffee, premium ice cream, artisan pastries. Everything is high quality as far as our products go. Next, we use unique preparation methods that are not typical for your average coffee house. In the days of super-automated machines and air-pots, we make every drink to order using entirely manual methods. Our espresso machine is a traditional Italian La Marzocco, where we manually pull and time shots, steam milk, etc. We use Hario V60 Japanese drippers to hand-dripp every cup of coffee at our custom built dripp dar. Our Ice Coffee dripps for 8 hours on the rare Oji Drippers. We strive to offer these products through our educated, courteous, friendly staff. Customer service is key. Finally, the decor is one that is both whimsical and subdued, new and old, industrial and homey. We want the space, paired with the products, service, and methods, to create an amazing experience that our customers can’t find anywhere else.
2. How is Dripp different from other coffee shops?
One of the main ideas behind Dripp is that we want to raise our customer’s expections for their coffee experience. We want the quality of products, preparation methods, customer service, and ambiance, all together, to create an enjoyable, relaxing, happy time for them.
3. What are some of your specialty drinks?
All of our drinks are specialty! But literally, when customers ask me this question, I don’t know how to answer. We’ve put so much time and thought into the preparation of every drink on the menu. Even our “black coffee” is special (there’s four to choose from, and we hand-dripp them to order so that they’re delicious!)
4. What is the difference between “steam bar” & ”cream bar”
Steam Bar is where we prepare our coffee and espresso drinks. Cream bar is where we custom-build ice cream sandwiches, scoop ice cream, and prep Affogato’s and Bozos.
5. Do you cater ice- cream bars to wedding/events?
Yes, we do cater weddings! We have a Dripp Ice Cream Cart, equipped with a canopy and nostalgic Dripp branding. We can provide a catering estimate upon request.
